Rooted in seafaring tradition, the NEMO II fisherman’s smock is simple, authentic, and timeless. Made from sturdy cotton canvas, it is built to withstand the elements. A buttoned breast pocket on the inside provides secure storage for fragile items. Sailors once used it to keep cigarettes dry while onboard. The high collar offered protection from the wind, especially when lighting filterless Gitane cigarettes. Traditionally, red brick-colored smocks were worn by fishermen near the shore, while blue was reserved for those sailing farther out to sea.
